Chemistry in a band

Recently, I’ve just gone for an audition for a band.  The songs were selected by the member of the band, one of them wasn’t my familiar repertoire.

Perhaps I was too anxious to create an impression, and the desire to be selected was too much for me to handle.  I wasn’t really myself at the audition.  To me, it was a terrible disaster.

I could have done better but I guess it was much more than that.  The chemistry between the band members weren’t really there.  They weren’t really familiar with my songs either.  They weren’t playing tight and the same person that told me to prepare two specific songs weren’t free to prepare the slower song.

I have been thirsting to be on stage again after a long absence.  I hope I can find a band that gels in with my style and are willing to be committed as well.

I put too much expectation on myself and the rest of the team.  I suspected there was an invisible barrier building up between me and the rest of the band.

I wish them all the best and hope they could find a songbird that fits in the missing puzzle.
